Claudia Sheinbaum, Mexico’s president-elect, has called for putting aside differences between the federal government and states governed by opposition parties.
During her visit to Nuevo León, Sheinbaum pledged to collaborate with Samuel García, the state’s governor and a member of Movimiento Ciudadano, to advance key infrastructure projects that will benefit the region.
Sheinbaum affirmed that her administration will support crucial initiatives such as the construction of the passenger and freight train, the interserrana highway, and the water supply to Monterrey.
The president-elect emphasized that just as passenger and freight trains have been revived in the southeast of the country, it is now time to extend this development to the north, including Nuevo León.
